Acknowledgments
Israel

I gratefully acknowledge the research, the development of ideas and concepts, and the accumulation of data by those from whom much of this page was compiled. They are many. They have been kind and gracious for granting me permission to make use of some of their work.

I especially want to give thanks to certain people/organizations for giving me permission to use maps, quote extensively from their website, or for other invaluable assistance. Go to their sites listed below for what I consider the best and most reliable information about Israel and its national struggle found anywhere online. Again, my thanks and gratitude.

The Jewish Student Online Research Center
[JSOURCE]

This is an academically oriented data base of politically-based materials relating to the Jewish people and the State of Israel. This is a most excellent website. Thorough, articulate, professional and profoundly extensive. This is the standard to which all other sites of this nature should strive to achieve. This site is owned/operated/maintained by The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise. [http://www.us-israel.org/]

The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This is Israel's 'virtual embassy' in cyberspace. This official government site is designed to provide basic information about Israel and its people, while offering comprehensive material on the Israeli government and its policies. Very extensive and informative site. Most of the maps used on this webpage ultimately came from this Israeli agency. Many entries in my Modern History timeline either came from this site or were confirmed by information found here. More than 14,600 pages on this site!

Joseph Friedberg's
Israel Information Service

This site was designed and posted to help further the understanding between both sides of the Arab/Israeli conflict. It is in no way associated or affiliated with any political or religious group. Mr. Friedberg's aim is to collect and store any and all documents and raw data relevant to the Arab/Israeli problem, and provides his documents and data at no cost. I relied extensively on data from this site as the basic framework for my Modern History timeline. One caveat — this site has not been updated since January 1999. Otherwise, an excellent site — check it out.

Ariga

This site is owned and operated by Robert Rosenberg, a veteran journalist and writer based in Israel. It is organized into three sections, but I have only used the "Peace" section. The Historic Documents, Treaties and Agreements Index is quite comprehensive. Ariga carries up to the minute news about Israel and the Middle East, through an affiliation with Moreover.com. Excellent site — check it out.
