Today, I will trust in my Lord.
I will do as much as I can,
Travel as far as I have strength.
Then, I will stand,
or sit,
or lie down,
And wait upon my Lord.
And He will be faithful to me.
If I am lost and afraid,
He will find me, comfort me, and take away the fear.
If I am misdirected and on the wrong path,
He will guide me to the right path
And will give me the strength to carry on.
If I am not in obedience to His will
But pursuing my will rather than His,
He will rebuke me,
forgive me,
instruct me,
And show me the way of His will.
And if I am tired and weary from the journey,
He will take me into His arms
And carry me
Until I have the strength to journey for myself.
For my Lord is the true and faithful God.
He has sent me on this journey
And will not foresake me along the way.
I can stumble and fall.
I can get tired and give up.
I can even rebel against Him.
But He is always true and faithful to me.
And because of His faithfulness to me,
I will finish the journey,
And it will be a good journey,
And He will be pleased.
